I am a Senior Interior Design student at LSU minoring in Fine Arts and Business Administration. I recently completed an internship at Grace Hebert Architects in Baton Rouge, LA. Through this internship I assisted designers with projects such as elementary school renovations, large scale university recreation complexes, juvenile detention centers, church buildings, and office buildings. I have also gained familiarity with construction documents, Revit and AutoCAD, materials libraries, manufacturer sample ordering, scheduling product meetings, and creating project specifications books.
During the Fall 2016, I traveled to Montreal, Canada to study architecture and modular design. During the Summer 2016 semester I traveled to Ireland to study sculpture design and watercolor at the Burren College of Art, I find art and architecture history extremely interesting and am excited for the opportunity to travel the world and learn more about art, architecture, design, culture, and how it can aid my own work. I have also volunteered to help those affected by the Louisiana flooding (August 2016) gut and rebuild their homes, and have spent the past few months helping family members redecorate, remodel, and refurbish their homes.
I enjoy creating projects and designs with computer programs such as Photoshop and Revit, and am proficient in both programs, with a working knowledge of AutoCAD. I am knowledgeable in operating both MAC and Windows operating systems. Commercial design (specifically retail, restaurant, and office design) is an area that I am interested in exploring further. I enjoy solving complex design challenges, exploring innovative design solutions, and discovering unique materials or concepts that can be applied to my personal work.
Recently, I was selected by the Dean of the Art and Design college to be the student representative for the LSU Interior Design department on the board to select the new department director for the 2017 academic year. Most recently, I was elected by my peers to represent our school as the President of the Interior Design Student Organization. I am a tour guide for the school to show prospective students our program and was nominated by faculty for the Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship, NEWH Houston Chapter Scholarship, and I. Vincent Guacerro Memorial Scholarship. I have participated in the RDI 2016 Student Design Competition, ASID Student Portfolio Review, and the IIDA Student Design Competition 2016. I am on track to graduate with Latin honors in May 2018, am a Distinguished Communicator candidate, and plan on being LEED certified prior to graduation.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio! I will be updating it frequently with new work and projects as they come along. Feel free to view my resume that I have attached below. Additional work and references are available upon request.
